BRUCE IWASAKI APPOINTED TO COMMITTEE ON CIVIL RIGHT TO COUNSEL

Lim Ruger litigation partner Bruce Iwasaki was recently appointed by Chief Justice Ronald George to the Sargent Shriver Civil Counsel Act Implementation Committee. The Act establishes pilot projects to provide a right to counsel in important civil cases for people who cannot afford a lawyer. The committee will advise the California Judicial Council on funding projects that will be jointly proposed by local courts and legal aid organizations.
