Lim Ruger Slams The Door On Web Infringer
Obtains Large Judgment for Korean TV Networks

July 1, 2009 - Representing the two largest television networks in South Korea, the Lim Ruger litigation team of Bryan Sheldon, George Busu and Julie Kwun recently obtained a permanent injunction and multi-million dollar judgment against "internet protocol" television provider MyTV, Inc. and its principal, as well as an injunction and smaller judgment against a local retailer of the system. The judgment confirms that MyTV and its principal willfully infringed numerous copyrights of KBS America, Inc. and Mun Hwa Broadcasting Corporation by intercepting the networks' programming, including their most popular drama series, and then selling the programs to MyTV subscribers over the internet before they were broadcast over the air in the US by the networks.
