Phil Grant is Senior Counsel in the litigation group. Mr. Grant’s practice includes commercial litigation, products liability, antitrust and insurance.

Mr. Grant has substantial experience in both state and federal courts handling cases involving breach of contract, unfair business practices, employment disputes, patent infringement, antitrust, breach of fiduciary duty, accounting malpractice, products liability, and other business disputes. Recent examples include the representation of a group of medical providers and related entities in a RICO/antitrust action against more than two dozen workers’ compensation insurance companies for destruction of the plaintiffs’ businesses, and the prosecution of fraud and RICO claims against the perpetrators of a multimillion international financial scam.

Mr. Grant has successfully handled appeals of numerous matters. His published opinions include: Cheiker v. Prudential Insurance Co., 820 F.2d 334 (9th Cir. 1987) and Charles J. Vacanti, M.D., Inc. v. State Compensation Insurance Co., 24 Cal. 4th 800 (2001). Prior to practicing law, Mr. Grant taught physical anthropology at the University of Oregon and the University of Texas.
