OverviewPRACTICE AREAS: Christopher Kim is a senior partner in the litigation group and one of the firm’s founders. Mr. Kim is a seasoned trial lawyer who has tried many cases involving substantial exposure and complex legal issues. Mr. Kim’s admission to the American Board of Trial Advocates reflects his exceptional experience and achievement in handling jury trials. His exemplary record of success in high-value cases has earned him the respect of judges and opponents alike. The areas of Mr. Kim’s trial work include complex civil and business litigation and securities litigation, in which he has handled numerous class actions. For example, he served as lead local and trial counsel on In re Tenet Healthcare Securities Litigation, In re DDI Securities Litigation and In re Dreamworks Securities Litigation, among others. Mr. Kim also handles litigation of complex tort matters, including fraud, employment disputes, products liability and civil rights cases. In the tort arena, he has handled complex matters as diverse as defense of a very large employment discrimination class action to pro-bono representation of World War II era forced laborers and sex slaves. His recent jury trials include a multi-million dollar unfair competition case between publishers, a multi-million dollar action for fraud and for breach of contract in connection with the purchase of a furniture manufacturing business and a multi-million dollar employment discrimination and sexual harassment case. Mr. Kim has spoken at numerous seminars and workshops, frequently teaching trial advocacy skills. While at UCLA School of Law, he co-authored "Land Development and Environmental Control in the California Supreme Court: The Deferential, the Preservationist and the Preservationist-Erratic Eras," 27 UCLA Law Review, 1980.
